Wash & Care Guide for Compression Garments

Compression garments need proper care to be effective in managing lymphedema. Even the strongest compression garments made of the most durable materials will begin to stretch out after daily wear. This is especially true in knee and elbow areas where the garments are constantly being stretched. Washing daily, or after each time the garment is worn will help restore and retain elastic properties as well as remove perspiration, oils, dirt, bacteria and dead skin that accumulate inside the garment. Frequent washing will not harm the garments if done properly. Read our wash and care guide to find the best ways to wash your compression garments.
