Absolute Medical, Inc & COVID-19 Update

Here is an update from Absolute Medical, Inc. and COVID-19:

As COVID-19 and its impact continue to evolve and develop, we remain focused on the health and safety of our team and communities, as well as our commitment to you, your patients and clients.

At Absolute Medical, we are here to serve and support you. We are working hard to ensure our team can continue to provide uninterrupted, dependable service. We have had to make the difficult decision to limit our field team from conducting any face-to-face appointments moving forward until further notice. Our company’s Values were key to our decision making; we have Accountability to our team, clinicians and patients and we need to be innovative in our approach to a new operating plan to ensure we continue to provide top tier service to all stakeholders.

We will have several means of continuing to provide a high level of care for everyone in need of our products and services:

  • Drop-ship deliveries – We can drop ship products directly to patients’ homes.
  • Door-step deliveries – Our team can deliver products to patients’ homes and leave them on the doorstep while speaking to the patients on the phone. We can wait in our cars and discuss the products and even video chat to ensure items are fitting correctly.
  • Therapists evaluating and fitting – If you are comfortable measuring and fitting for compression garments, we will be fully operational to process all orders. If you are unsure about measuring and fitting, we can have one of our fitter’s videos call to discuss measurements or check the fit of garments.
  • Follow-up – The most vital piece for continued care is proper engagement and understanding of the use of compression garments. When discussing options, our team can schedule virtual fittings via phone or video so this may continue. During this time, we will ensure we discuss proper garment usage and wash and care guidelines.

We anticipate face-to-face appointments will not occur until March 30th at the earliest but that date is under constant review. We are prepared for that date to be extended beyond.

Our team will work from home for the next several weeks to support their health and safety. We are also aware that some of you may experience financial hardship as a result of the COVID-19. Our team is aware and sympathetic to the circumstances of those impacted. We are asking people to contact us if they are impacted so we can discuss how we can help.

Please follow our social channels (Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram) as we will be taking this time to discuss more product information and our experiences with compression garments. We hope this will be a bright spot for all and we can share what we have learned. Since our team will be working remotely, we plan on spending this time on internal education. So when we come out of this, we will be adding even greater value to your practice. Click here to read up on our blog posts.

Absolute Medical is scheduled to host the Midwest Lymphedema Symposium on May 2nd. We are in discussions with our partners for the event and details on this will be updated soon.

We will continue to closely monitor information about COVID-19 and will provide updates accordingly. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or requests. We will do our best to work with everyone.

Thank you!
