The Lymphedema Treatment Act
The Lymphedema Treatment Act is a bill introduced in Congress in 2017 that seeks more comprehensive coverage for the treatment of lymphedema. This is accomplished by changing Medicare law so that compression garments, bandages, and other necessary medical supplies are fully covered.
Although this bill relates specifically to a change in Medicare law, it would set a standard of more coverage flexibility for Medicaid and private insurers to follow.
